I’m back! (Plus adorable photos) – Greenville SC Child Photography

Hey there blog readers! Sorry for my long absence, but having a child can make you neglect your blog. And your laundry. But I’m back now and have lots of photos to share and some really big (or as my son would say “Huge mamma! Huge!”) announcements to make in the coming weeks. So stick around :)

First, I’m so happy to share pictures of my adorable niece Mariko. She came to visit us a few weeks ago and we were so excited to see her! We hadn’t seen her since she was 4 months old. It was crazy to see her crusin’ around and babbling and just so ONE! So Happy Birthday to Mariko and here are some pictures of the little cutie pie :) Love ya Mariko!

Ha! Her expression is hilarious!

That’s Mariko’s beautiful mom with her. Love ya Tif!

I love the last photo of Mariko hugging her mom’s leg. So sweet.

Together – sc children photographer

Why are my children so ridiculously adorable??!!!

And why do they seem almost more adorable (is that possible???) when they are snuggled up together on our bed? Oh man it just melts my heart to see the two of them together and imagine what awesome times they will have as brother and sister. Hudson loves to touch Avery’s “soft” head, and hold her hand. He also shows her everything and then says “nice!” He’ll even show her stuff when she’s sleeping and then act as if she saw him :) It seriously hurts to love two little kiddos this much!

We did this photo shoot as neither Tyler or myself could feel okay having a picture as the background on our phones that wasn’t of both of them! Although we did need some pics of them together anyway!

I love Hudson’s expression in the one on the left. He’s such a little sweetie.

Bahahaha! This kid cracks me up! He did this little hand on the chin pose on his own! He kept telling me “hand! chin!” Simply HILARIOUS.

Avery. A little bundle of awesome. – sc newborn photographer

I can’t believe I’m writing this post. It seems like just yesterday that I was writing a post to introduce Hudson to the world and here I am writing to introduce our sweet little Avery. Our perfect little princess. Our second child. What?!! I’m a mother of CHILDREN. Like, as in more than one! I have KIDS. Wow.

The last [almost] two years with Hudson have been amazing and have flown by. We try to make a conscious effort to enjoy each moment, even the hard ones, because these moments don’t last forever. I don’t ever want to forget what he smells like, what his hugs and kisses feel like, what it’s like to have him say “uv mama” (translation: love mama). And I feel the same way about Avery. I don’t want to forget how soft her hair is or how it feels to have her grip my finger in her tiny little hand. Or how precious it is to see her father, my wonderful husband, be unbelievably head over heels in love with his little girl. I don’t want to forget how little she looks in his arms. I don’t want one tiny little piece of this to fade from my memory! So I cling to each moment. I try to smile through the sleepless nights, because all too soon I’ll be wishing for them back. And of course, I take a lot of pictures. It’s these moments with my own children that make me believe in my job. I believe that what I do is important, because I’d be devastated if I didn’t have four million pictures of my beautiful children to refresh my memory of all those things I so do not want to forget.

All that said, it makes me so happy to introduce precious little Avery. Born on January 25th. Thank you to all of you who prayed for her through my pregnancy. She stayed put until 39 weeks! Praise God for a healthy little baby girl…who happens to be ridiculously cute. :) We are so blessed.

Baby toes!

She crosses her ankles like this all the time – so cute!

I love that smile :)

Too much. Just way too much beautifulness. (It’s totally a word….maybe.)

Me and my sweet girl.

I adore this one. But then again, I adore them all.

Ha! This expression is great! :)

luke and sherie – greenville sc portrait photographer

Over Christmas week my sister and her husband got to see each other. That might be normal for most husbands and wives. Ordinary. Even taken for granted. But for Sherie and Luke it was an event they looked forward to for months. You see, Luke is in the Air Force and Sherie isn’t yet able to live where he is stationed. So for them, this was a “dream week” (as Sherie called it).

Sherie and Luke wanted to take some pictures during their dream week, and I was honored to do so. So we got up early one morning. We were all sick and sniffling. And cold. And one of us *cough, cough* was super pregnant while laying in the middle of the road to get a cool shot. But we laughed and drank tea. We tip-toed through muddy fields and danced in the street. They kissed and snuggled. And it was so totally worth it.

Luke and Sherie, you are a constant inspiration. I love you.

Hey Luke, we told you these boots shots would be cool :)

more snow! – greenville sc child photography

We got more snow! Like 9 inches! Hello awesomeness. Hudson had a blast playing in the snow – he rode his four-wheeler, got pulled all around on his “sled” (which is really an indoor ride-on toy, but it works perfect in the snow!) and of course, ate lots more snow. We made snow cream for when we were inside and craving some snow too :) Here’s a few pictures:

I love these photos of Hudson and I in the snow! Thanks Tyler :)

beautiful baby+awesome toddler+loving parents = happy me – sc family photographer

This shoot made me smile. I love photographing people who are in love with their children and their families. Of course, it doesn’t hurt when they are all really photogenic, the one week old adorable baby only cries once, the sweet toddler is a total un-camera shy ham, and there may occasionally be Christmas colored m&ms handed out for good behavior :)

Dear “A” family: thank you for the choosing me to photograph your family and for being so awesome :)

Now for the pictures! Seriously, how beautiful is this family?!

I told you he’s a total ham! Love it!

Daddy and his baby girl…so sweet.

How amazing is that bed?!! And can we just comment on how Jamie looks awesome and not at all like she just had a baby a week ago!!!

Got to love baby ears and soft baby hair!

It’s hard to choose, but this may be my favorite. She looks so peaceful! (I wish I looked that cute when I sleep! Ha!)

snow!!!! – greenville sc child photographer

We had a white Christmas this year! Yay! I’ve heard people say it was the first white Christmas here since the 1960s! It came at just the right time as my little man has been asking to hold “th-no” (snow) since he first saw the snowy Christmas decorations at Home Depot this year! He was so ecstatic to play in it (and eat it) for the past few days. Here’s some pics of my precious little snow man.

LOVE this last one. He’s too much.

Ellie – greenville sc baby photographer

Hello beautiful family.

Hello ridiculously beautiful baby (who is SO HAPPY…and made me happy too)

I really love this last one! I love how she’s sucking her bottom lip in – so cute!

Beautiful Sofia – south carolina newborn photographer

This newborn shoot was beyond perfect. From the adorable headband (made by my good friend Jenn), to the perfect hat (made by my super talented sister-in-law Tifanie), to Sofia’s delicate girly features that I just adore, to her fun and loving parents…it was all perfect! Check it out….

I love all her facial expressions!

Let’s all be honest, our noses wouldn’t look this good up close! :)

Yay for fuzzy newborn mohawk-ish hair! It doesn’t get much better than this!
